Rosy is one of the most popular local Spanish-language radio announcers who brings to listeners a variety of programs, including classic Mexican tunes from the 70s, 80s and 90s during “Las Viejas del Rey” (El Rey’s Oldies) show. She is well listened due to her creative verbal expressions, sensuality and beauty. Equally talented is her clever reporting of celebrity news and gossip from Hollywood, Latin America and Spain’s entertainment industry.
Born in the City of León, State of Guanajuato, Mexico, Rosy’s huge following has hit Facebook’s 5,000 friend-limits, which reflects her popularity and creative style for communicating with her audience. Known for her “Down to earth” personality and sense of humor, Rosy enjoys interacting with callers during her live daily morning show, often interviewing visiting celebrities.
Rosy initiated her radio career in 2003 with El Rey 1360 (at the time known as Radio Sol). She produced “El Show de la Poblanita” which launched her popularity. Later co-anchored a new program called “Radio Amistad” (Radio Friendship) on KXPA 1540 AM, and by 2005 bridged over to Salem Communications where she single-handedly produced La Jefa 1680 AM.
Temporarily leaving the radio business, Rosy hosted two local programs on Spanish-language TV: “De Parranda con la Banda” (univision seattle)(Out and About with the Band) and on Azteca América’s “La Parada” (The Stop). In 2008 Rosy returned to El Rey 1360.
